How to Play - (NOTE - different than VSRR I)

COF - 2nd Annual Virtual Summer Road Rally (VSRR II)

Objective - The objective of the VSRR II is to move you and your vehicle(s) from the starting point across a designated course to the finish line 31 days away with the most points. Each day will have a new location to discover and travel too.
Duration - the contest runs for 31 days - each day of the month of July

4 different ways to play - descriptions to follow

1. Where in the World are we?
2. Bullistic BINGO!
3. Trivial Trivia
4. Aggravating Acronyms

To be in the race you must play - #1 Where in the world are we? You can play any or all of the remaining three - which will be offered at different times of the day.

How to play - Where in the World are we?

a. There are 31 locations that must be discovered/identified and you must travel to that location in order to advance in the race. Locations will be identified by clues provided in the group.

b. Although you can travel to any location you desire - you must arrive at the day 1 destination before you can advance to the day 2 destination - the day 2 destination before you arrive at the day 3 destination , etc through day 31

c. You must have the designated number of TP's (Transportation or Travel Points) to travel anywhere - these points are earned by participating in any or all of three additional games (described later).

d. Travel Points for each destination will be listed with the days clues - in other words how many points it will cost for toll, gas, airfare, judge fees, and other sundry and miscellaneous items - if you travel to an incorrect destination you have to use TP again to get there.

e. Travel points used - will be deducted from your available Travel Point totals - judges will be the final arbitrator of points granted and used - players should track there own points as judges can get easily confused, er I mean persuaded to make correction - that is even though the judges rarely get anything wrong.

f. Several clues may be issued each day at different times of the day

g. Correct answers must be posted at designated times after designated times

h. Being first may not always be to your advantage - strategy may be applied when appropriate

i. One destination issued each day - participants can answer more than one question a day (previous day's locations if missed for example to catch up).

j. Each correct answer advances that player one location - there are penalties for wrong answers (TP are consumed) but you can guess as many times as you'd like until you run out of fuel (TP)

k. Answers are submitted to any of the judges OFFLINE so as not to give the answer away - time stamp of message header determines which was first in.

l. HOWEVER - Making the answer public (presented to the group) - could be a strategy -(however Dale and Ruth say you may be doing laundry)

m. Racers may form teams permanent or temporary - but are not required too

n. Any advantages that can be found by players within the statement "how to play" but not stated may be taken

o. Judges will arbitrate any needed interpretations.

p. Special events and daily commentary may be a part of the festivities

Judges - private email addresses - must be to both - only place to send official answers

NOTES

The Winner is determined by whoever arrives at the final destination with the most earned NET UNUSED Travel Points - in the event of a tie on the most Travel Points first one to cross the finish line wins with the most NET UNUSED Travel Points wins.

Each day clues about a given location will be distributed publicly to the group - so the possibility exists you'll have an advantage if your location is chosen

Unlike last year - we will be globe trotting - we will not be following a logical tour but literally hop scotching around the world.
Judges will make up additional locations if needed

Bonus questions of special value opportunities may be created during the VSRR II
